Harvard's free lecture series "Justice"

Post  devilsadvocate on Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:27 am

Just thought to share this excellent lecture series by Michal Sandel filmed in Harvard.

"What's the Right Thing To Do? Is torture ever justified? Would you steal a drug that your child needs to survive? Is it sometimes wrong to tell the truth? How much is one human life worth? Watch the videos to hear Harvard professor Michael Sandel talk about justice, equality, democracy, and citizenship."

The series examines the major ethical/political theories, like utilitarianism, libertarianism, Kant's deontology and Rawl's theory of justice, by pitting them against social justice issues. I really can't recommend the series too much. it's even entertaining. Really.
